Galusha Photography – First-Time Agent FAQ
A guide for new real estate agents using Galusha Photography for the first time. From booking to delivery, here are answers to the most common questions.
Booking & Scheduling
When should I book a shoot?I shoot 7 days a week. While same-day bookings are sometimes possible, especially in slower markets, I recommend reaching out at least a week in advance to secure your ideal time slot—especially if you’re aiming for optimal lighting. Most agents begin reaching out on Mondays and Tuesdays to book for that same week, so availability fills up quickly. Booking before the week begins gives you the best selection of shoo
How do I book?
However works best for you—text, phone, email, or form. I personally handle all bookings and confirmations to keep things simple and responsive.
What information should I include when booking?
Please send the property’s town, approximate square footage, and the services you’d like (photos, floor plan, virtual tour, etc.). This helps me schedule efficiently and bring the right tools.

Preparing the Property
How should clients prepare the home?
I ask that you or the seller review and follow the prep guide on my website: Preparing Your Home for Photography. It’s the fastest way to make a space camera-ready and avoid surprises.
Do you stage or move things during the shoot?
If I’m working alone and the home is fully prepped, I may make small adjustments like straightening pillows, moving a stool, or adjusting a curtain. However, this is not a staging service—major adjustments should be completed before I arrive.
What if the weather is bad?
I can shoot in a variety of conditions—overcast skies are fine, and even light rain can work. However, very dark overcast skies, heavy rain, and snow all impact the look and feel of the photos. Sky replacements are included, but I encourage agents to manage client expectations: natural light pouring through windows always looks better than gloomy conditions.
What if the home isn’t fully ready?
If I’m working solo, I’ll photograph the spaces that are ready. If a team is present, we can shoot finished rooms first and use one space to store everything else. For 3D virtual tours, I must be the only person on the floor being scanned at any time.

During the Shoot
Do I need to be there for the shoot?
You’re welcome to remain on-site, but it’s preferable that the home is unoccupied. I work quickly and efficiently when I have the space to myself. Most of my clients provide access via lockbox, which allows for seamless scheduling even when no one is available to meet on-site. As a licensed and CORI’d high school teacher in my other job, you and your clients can trust that the space will be treated with professionalism.
How long does a shoot take?
A typical 1,800 sq ft listing takes about 45 minutes. Add 30 minutes for floor plans or virtual tours, and another 20 minutes for aerials. Video adds roughly 30 more. Homes with saturated paint colors or dark cabinetry may also take more time due to lighting challenges.
Do you bring your own lighting?
Yes. All lighting and photography gear is brought on-site and customized to the property.

Editing, Delivery & Payment
When will I receive the photos?
All standard media is delivered by 7:00 AM the next day. The only exception is floor plans, which require 24 hours. Same-day rush editing may be available upon request for an additional fee.
How much time do you spend editing?
The time I spend on-site is only a fraction of the work. A standard 45-minute shoot typically requires at least an hour of post-production. Each image is reviewed, retouched, and optimized to reflect the best possible presentation of your listing.
How are the images delivered?
You’ll receive a private online gallery optimized for easy sharing and social media.
How does payment work?
You’ll receive an invoice via email upon delivery of the final gallery. Payment can be made by whatever method works best for your accounting process.
What edits are included?
Sky replacements are included by default. Object removals are included for now (within reason), but Adobe has announced that generative AI features may become a paid service in the future—so this is subject to change.
